Something that popped into my head while thinking of some non-clan stuff lol. Speaking of, interestingly enough it seems that only Cloud's swordsmen (not counting the SSM) had elemental techniques...which kinda goes with their developmental Nin-Tai stuff.

Swordsmen Non-clan Skillset
====================================
Basically, this is a set of skills that Non-Clans can learn by finding the appropriate masters. It augments the player's sword wielding abilities, turning them more into a legitimate sword-wielding Ninja than just being some schlub with a pointy stick.
Small swords would get the Quick Draw stance, and Iai Strike as well as several skills possessed by Hayate Gekko of the Leaf Village.
Quick Draw: Forgoing the basic Kenjutsu style, this style emphasizes repeated swift attacks. Each hit against an opponent works like a Chidori hit, helping you take steps towards mastering your swordsmanship. Quick Draw has three different levels of effectiveness, reached by getting the corresponding hit amounts.
0~99 hits: Attack speed is 1 hit per 0.8 seconds. 0.7x SS Mod + 0.1x Speed mod for damage.
100~499 hits: Attack speed is 1 hit per 0.6 seconds. 0.9x SS mod + 0.2x Speed mod for damage.
500+ hits: Attack speed is 1 hit per 0.5 seconds. 1x SS Mod + 0.3x Speed mod for damage.
Iai Strike: The basic of basic techniques of the Quick Draw style, the user sheaths and then unseaths their blade in a quick motion, releasing a shockwave in a straight line that destroys any clones adjacent to the wave, and deals 0.8x Speed in damage to any players/npcs along it's path. To learn other techniques, one must increase their hit count both with the Quick Draw stance as well as Iai Strike.
Dance of the Crescent Moon: A technique further developed from the Shadow Clone Jutsu by Hayate, it creates several (Read: 3) AI shadow clones that deal 0.5x Sword Skill in damage, and may randomly use Iai strike. The clones have the user's Speed stat. They pursue any targets on-screen, but will poof if they are not within the user's view. The clone's HP is also equal to 1/3 the user's.
Hazy Moon Night: The user spins with their blade, before suddenly vanishing. Sword strikes deal double their usual damage, however hitting an opponent will break the invisibility instantly, and remove the effect of Hazy Moon Night. Hazy Moon Night cannot be used if there are still AI clones from Dance of the Crescent Moon in the area.
Secret Sword: Moonlight: The final technique of the Quick Draw style, the user focuses their blade and dives immediately at the closest target. Depending on the target's current hp, specific damage is dealt.
80~100% HP: 0.3x SS + 0.1x Speed in damage
60~79% HP: 0.4x SS + 0.2x Speed in damage
30~59% HP: 0.5x SS + 0.3x Speed in damage
29% or less HP: 1.3x SS + 0.8x Speed, sure to be a lethal blow 9 times out of 10.
Timing is key with this technique, as using it places the user in an exhausted state afterwards, preventing the use of Jutsu or Sword Techniques for 20 seconds.
The "Beheading" style utilized by the likes of cloud villagers, wielding the powerful Zanbatou would be the second style available. Unlike the stealthy, speedy techniques of the Quick Draw style, this one specializes in more direct combat and relying on the blade's unique weight to keep foes at bay.
Beheading Stance: Sticking to the 3-tile hitting nature of the Zanbatou, the Beheading Stance grants the blade a modifier increase and a couple additional effects based on how many total hits the sword weilder has made against opponents.
0~99 hits: Maintains the basic Zanbatou damage modifiers. While attacking, attacks received from the front are reduced by 50%, however attacks from the rear deal 20% additional damage.
100~299 hits: Zanbatou's melee hits deal an extra 0.2x SS and 0.4x Tai in damage. Attacks received from the front are fully nullified, while rear attacks will deal 30% additional damage as the user becomes significantly more reckless.
300~499 Hits: All previous effects remain, except the SS/Tai boost is 0.3x/0.6x respectively.
500+ Hits: Gains access to "Blade Counter" Which will reflect all Taijutsu damage if you are not swinging your sword.
Critical Blade: Strikes a target three times in succession, inflicting 0.5x Tai per hit. The final hit causes the opponent to bleed if they have not escaped the technique, inflicting 0.1x SS damage every second for 5 seconds. To learn other techniques, the player must land hits both with the Beheading Stance and Critical Blade.
Sword as Shield: The Zanbatou can be wielded as a giant shield, blocking all forms of attack for fifteen seconds. The user is immobile, however all Jutsu and attacks will "target" them instead of any other nearby players. Basically, a defensive/supportive jutsu.
Cloud Style: Front Slice: Effortlessly cleaves a 2x3 area in front of the user, dealing 0.8x Tai damage and stunning opponents in range for 2 seconds.
Cloud Style: Reverse Cut: Feints the opponent with what looks like a foward cleave, before instead slashing in a wide arc behind them. The backwards force of this technique will split any large-scale jutsu (Such as Goukakyuu, Meikakyuu, or Bakushoha) as well as repel any attackers coming from behind. Players hit by the technique receive 1.1x Tai in damage.
Cloud Style: Crescent Slice: The user hits all tiles immediately in front of, to the left of, and to the right of them for 1.1x SS, knocking back any victims of this technique a total of 5 squares.
[Katon Aff only]Cloud Style: Flame Beheading (Wave): Imbues the user's blade with fire, before releasing a powerful wave in a straight line. Deals 1.1x SS + 0.4x Tai and 0.3x Nin in damage. Exhausts the user when used in this way, however the damage is arguably worth it; exhaustion prevents Jutsu/sword skill use and melee attacks for 25 seconds.
[Katon Aff only]Cloud Style: Flame Beheading(Ring): Imbues the user's blade with fire, before releasing the flames into a ring around a 6x6 area. Anyone within the ring other than the user receives 0.1x Nin damage every 3 seconds. Attempting to exit or enter the ring deals 1.1x Nin in damage.
