If one was to considered such horror icons like Freddy Kruger, Jason Voorhees, Jeepers Creepers and even Darth Vader himself to be monumental on the scale of monsters; they might be shocked to realize that an even more dreadful beasts resides, lurking. The real terrifying monsters are the ones that elude the pages in books and are involved in everyday life. What could possible be so lethal as if to surpass on the scale of deadliness then those prior mentioned? In a simple word Sex!!. Sex is a contemporary fiend; it preys on naive young Adolescents, teens especially, and will linger for the most part of the rest of one’s life. Not to mention it can and usually does add offspring and problematic relationships to the mix.
The reason being that so many problems arise is due to lack of prior insight. Is it not true that people have rushed into and become stuck in a situation that they cannot control because they were not prepared for the extremes that can come along with participating in sex? Sex like many other problems can surly be resolved with the power of knowledge. 48% percent of high school students have already engaged in sexual intercourse. Bringing back the course will without a doubt lower the rates of adolescents having sex.
Today’s society is a very sex oriented one. Everything from the games and or movies we watch/play, to the clothes we wear and even surprisingly the cartons adolescents are watching . This generation of youth is living in the most erotic of times so far. Sex as a means for advertising is becoming more and more excepted and common in the media. If someone wants to get a wholesome of fame they will put out a sex tape. This notion that the world has made is affecting the youth of this country dramatically; it’s quite understandable why 48% of high school students are sexual active when they are being shown the act but not being informed on it. The common adversary of Sex education might argue that it should not be taught. Sex Ed. programs are seriously needed right now more than ever.
