Hey guys, just went out and got this game. I must say, level grinding seems much harder now. Luckily, in the earlier part of the game, I ound a great training area (though, probably not suggested if you're EV training certain stats). When you reach the second city, Virbank, there is a section between the city and the Virbank Complex. This little area has a few small patches of grass, and because of the game mechanics, you'll find a shit ton of Audino here. I was able to level my Riolu from level 5 to level 25, my Oshawott from level 7 to 26, and my Growlithe from level 11 to 25, all within an hour. Unfortunately, around level 25, this method starts getting tedious. I'll post another training spot if I find one. NOTE: The Audino in this area are between level 9 - 13, and are weak to fighting type moves (great for Riolu to evolve to Lucario).
What starter did you choose this time around?

Tepig.
I chose Snivy before b/c I like it more than I do tepig, which is unusual since I prefer fire, fightig, and ice types...and regretted it. Because Tepig is op'd as a starter >.>

Tepig is honestly an OP'd starter. After I beat White, I went out and bought Black and didn't use any Pokemon against the gym leaders except my Tepig / Emboar. But this time around, I'm using Oshawott.

Snivy is amazing...
But the weakest of the trio :/ I just like Snivy's desing, + the anime attitude of Ash's snivy xD
Tepig facerolls most non-postgame pokes though, and it helps since I can't get ponyta. XD

XD it's too easy to get ganked by the gym leaders on Black 2 with a snivy, especially the Second GL because she uses poison types.

When have fire types not have been OP'd as starters? My Charmander steamrolled Brock when I got it high enough lol think around 15~16, stopped it from evolving.
But yeah, since G/S/C the fire type pokemon have been OP'd to begin with. Think R/B/G/Y were the only ones that had the grass type be the most OP starter: affinity vs 1st 2 gym leaders, 3rd gym leader was not very effective.
Though I must agree, Tepig's Fire Charge raising it's speed is a tad much LOL get it a speed nature or attack nature and then use that, PWNZORS.

I'm very specific to getting a nature that boosts a Pokemon's already high base stat, and then revolve their moves (either physical or special) on that. I guess that's the "warrior" type of player in me; great offense makes up for weak defense / speed.

I'm a berserker type Sefi. I prefer Extreme levels of offense and speed over defensive moves and tactics. Also I just got my black DSi + Black 2 so I'll be updating my shit soon after getting a shiny starter.

xD I actually obsess over speed and power when picking my team (Hence Speedy-as-frack Gyarados and Emboar) leading me to like Staraptor, Gallade, and suchnot. Infernape 4 president!

I know, that's gonna take a shit ton of soft resetting, unless you're incredibly lucky.
Also, in my time playing today, I discovered another great training area. It's Route 7 (I believe this is correct, I'll double check tomorrow). You'll find plenty of Audino here between level 30 - 32. Since Zorua's / Zoroark's OT is N, it gets a boosted EXP gain, as after defeating a level 30 Audino, it got 3,600 or so EXP.

Dafuq, and do audino only appear in the moving grass like before?
Also yeah, earliest I've heard is 115 SRs, although... I've also seen up to 7335 SRs... I'm at like 70 or so now.

Yes, they'll oly appear in moving grass. Don't waste your time looking for them in Route 6, you'll only find Emolga, Leavanny, and Dunsparce.

Er...normally The Fire-Type was considered the "Hard Mode" of the First/Second Gen seeing as how the types never favored your during the Gym Battles (As Charmander you get a easy break in the 4th Gym I believe...w/e the Grass/Poison one is.)
Water was considered Normal, and Grass was considered Easy. These are because of the type advantages you have over the Gym leaders. (Although when you have to go through the Hardest Gym, which is the Fire type 7th Gym, you are at a huge disadvantage)
