Well, the fighting now is kinda.....meh for ninjutsu users, who have to run and stuff to avoid taijutsu and sword beasts. What I thought about was, what if some jutsu [fuuton etc] had a KNOCKBACK? Think about it, in the anime, fuuton jutsu would blow the enemy back when it hit them, and for example Rasengan blasted the enemy away because of it's large force. Same could be used for other things like taijutsu, mokuton spear etc.

We do have a few jutsus that push opponents back. Maybe rasengan would benefit from a push back because it does push a opponent back. More jutsus with after effects would be great.

Shinku Taigyoku knocks the opponent back. And Rasengan atm doesn't need a knockback unless it takes a damage nerf, it's strong as is if you hit with it.
Though I agree, something has to be done about the jutsu, perhaps make a mastery level for each one so that they become 1,2, then 3 or more tiled depending on the jutsu. That would help more generic fighters to keep up with the other clans I guess.

I've been suggested knockbacks for jutsu for a couple of years. Hopefully if the community wants it Matty'll think about it.
Because in all honesty Nin, except for specific clans, is really lacking. And all of those specific clans with good nin focus on it. It's rarely a good option to split your stats if your clan is lacking good ninjutsu. Tai, throwing and swords surpass nin potential drastically. So adding various perks to ninjutsu would help majorly. This can either be through utility means(such as knockbacks and other effects) or through straight buffing of basic and elemental jutsu. I personally believe the first would be better for gameplay.
