Rinn's NTFB General Guide-Accurate as of NTFB Version 1.99.5 Character CreationSo to start your ninja journey is one of the most important decisions you’re going to make. Choosing your clan. There are more than an abundance of clans to choose from different villages give you access to different clans. NameChoose a suitable name. I’d suggest anything along the anime, Japanese just for the theme purpose but you are free to choose anything! AppearanceWhy not master your journey with some sense of style? There are many different hairstyles to choose from. Especially if you go and see a barber. The hairstyle list at creation is not all there is. There’s also a wide range of clothing, from Basic Shirts to Net shirts, baggy pants, shorts, gloves, you name it. Minato’s cloak, Mist robes. The options are very broad some clothing items are rarer but can obtained through tournaments or bought off of a player that’s won one. Ninja RanksAcademy StudentBasic starting position, every village uses this rank. The highest level that you can get to as an academy student is 250. GeninEvery village has this rank. Highest level at this rank is 1000. See your Academy Jounin who just happens to be..at the academy.. The process involves proving you can do basic jutsu as well as follow instructions after passing you’ll be given your village’s headband and a few items. ChuninChunin cap is 2500. To achieve this rank you have to be in a village and of course you must be a genin. Chunin exams are hosted every hour and as a Genin you’ll always be notified when one is about to occur via a message “Chunin exam is about to begin in 5 minutes” and this message counts down. If you are above level 500 along with that message would be a tab called “Chuunin Exam” go there to take the exam. The exam consists of a written portion as well as the Forest of Death. The Objective in the forest of death is obtaining both scrolls then making it through the tower. (Upon gaining the rank you get your village’s chunin vest and a training waterballoon there’s also a possibility for a new Chakra Nature) JouninThe Jounin rank can be obtained at level 2000. This rank has no cap of it’s own per say but there’s the player cap which is 10000. Jounin get access to all missions. You acquire this rank upon completion of a mission. Jounin is acquire upon completion of the B Ranked mission Kill Zabuza. You cannot level up pass 2000 as long as you're in a village and have not completed the mission. Other ranks are: Sannin Anbu Captain (organization) Anbu (organization) SO (organization) ROOT (organization) SSM (organization) Kage (organization) Leader TRAININGYour level is very important of course. You start at level 1 and highest you can go is 10000. The clim isn’t impossible but it takes patience and consistence. Ways to gain levels: Hitting stumps/ logs is the only way to gain levels right now. Chackra ControlVery important, you need this to walk on water and to perform jutsu successfully. You are born with a random percentage but as you grow you should get this to 100%. You can increase chakra control by walking on water and using jutsus (ninjutsu). SkillsIn NTFB there are many different weapons that require you to know how to use them. Skill levels are gained similar to your character’s base level however it’s in a different tier of it’s own. Gain 10 sword skill will not affect your overall level at all. But your sword prowess would grow. Same for Shuriken. Right now the two main skills are Sword and Throwing. Sword skill is gained by slashing sword stumps. Throw skill is gained by throwing your weapons at a kunai stump. In order to train both sword and throwing skill you of course need to have a sword and you must have bought weapons (shurken, senbon). The sword must be equipped when sword skill training. There are many other types of weapons within ntfb such as Hanzo’s Kusarigama, Knuckle Knives, all has got their pros and cons. Stats
The backbone of your character. The stat attributes are: Ninjutsu -this determines most jutsu damage Taijutsu -melee damage and compliments sword or melee weapon damage Genjutsu -grants access to different levels of genjutsu Speed -determines some jutsu hit success and directly impacts dodge rating Chakra Control(cannot be increased with skill points) -determine whether or not a fired jutsu will actually work, allows you to walk on water Dodge Rating ( every 1000 speed = 1% dode) -percentage of chance you will negate a melee attack’s damage by dodging it You gain 3 skill points each time your level rises. At level one you’re born with 100 skill points woot woot! Your skill points determine you as a ninja. Choose wisely where you assign them. Once they’re assigned they are there to stay. Taijutsu There are many different fighting styles in NTFB this depends on your clan and skills. All sword usage is known to be Kenjutsu. If you ever equip a sword and peep into your stat tab you’d notice it automatically changes. Certain clans like Hyuuga and others have different styles to choose from. Each with different effects. Ninjutsu Jutsu damage. Different jutsu have different multipliers. Gone are the days when all 19 of your jutsu do the same or very similar damage. Many different types and effects throughout ntfb. I’ll start with the chackra Natures: The five basic chakra types of course: Fire-Katon Water-Suiton Wind-Fuuton Earth-Doton Lightning-Raiton Each element has it’s strengths and weakness. Some more than others. Aside from the 5 basic there are some Blaze and even Ice jutsus along with many more outside of the basic 5. You’ll see! Genjutsu Genjutsu affects movement and even vision. Wide range of genjutsu and affects. Speed Speed affects several things from out-running a kyuu, to dodge rating for some clan jutsu and skills it's a multiplier for damage MAP This guide was meant to cover the basics of ntfb in relation to your character. There's alot more that you will learn and sink deeper into the world. Have fun!

I thought this was all in the FAQ on the game. It's all out dated. The guide still talks about weights.

Anbu and Captain aren't normal ranks. They are organizations. Hokage, Kazekage, Mizukage, Hero, Rain Leader are all ranks. Just like Anbu and Anbu Captain..they just have organizations attached to them. This was meant to be a "general" guide as I tried not to go too much in depth with anything.

Not so, when your a Kage, That is your rank, but if your an ANBU, you can be either Jounin Or Sannin and Anbu. If your gonna put ANBU in there, you need to put SSM, Root, and SO as well.

I don't find this guide useful in any way You're an experienced player, so of course you don't. It's for new players. New. Constructive criticism is nice but don't be an asshole for the sake of being an asshole. Back to the guide, I think it covers everything well. Nice job.

I still don't find this useful since we already have ava's guide. Ava's guide is extremely outdated. It has 90% of the jutsus in it, which is helpful, but this guide is better for the really new players. You can use both. Do you ever have anything positive to say?

How's that your business? I'm here to say my opinion, if I find it useless, I find it useless. I'd say positive stuff if I found this useful, do I? no, is it your problem whether I say positive statements or not? No, then, shut up.

It is my business if it's affecting how you're treating the people on the forums. Especially when it's a friend of mine. As I have stated earlier, unless you can turn time backwards and read them at the beginning of your NTFB experience, you can't judge it without bias or other factors like your experience affecting it. You're a very toxic and rotten part of this forums, as I have noticed from all of the negativity and bullshit you bring about. Your ego is big, your head is bigger, but your mouth is the biggest. I think everyone would prefer if YOU shut up. Back the fuck up, cause if I see you trying to be an asshole towards anyone, especially people like Rinn who are trying to HELP THE COMMUNITY, you WILL see me telling your ignorant, uneducated, pessimistic ass off. Get the fuck out.

Get the fuck out. How I treat people? I think you're the one that just called me an ignorant, pessimist without even knowing me lol. I didn't even try to hurt Rinn's self estime, I appreciate he spends time on forums, but sometimes I like what he does and sometimes I don't, like everybody else. I didn't say anything about Rinn, I find him a cool guy to be honest, friend is such a strong word on internet though. I'm pretty sure you're the one that disrespects people, like Pwnerfox for example. Ego? No, it's called self estime, but I don't think it has anything to do with my ideology, but I guess you like to use topic words to sound more inteligent. I never complained about you calling me an ignorant, you're nobody to tell me what to do though, I criticize if I don't like something, I say things in the way I think them, maybe I'm uneducated, I didn't know I got to be so kind on a naruto game forum where there is a max of 50 people that logs on it per day lol, but yeah, excuse me. I don't think I'm a pessimist guy, and I don't think being pessimistic has anything to do with not liking a guide, that would be called being strict in my opinion. Well, I don't care much about your opinion about me Oak, that's why I try to ignore you, but you're kinda annoying.

Eh, though you're free to state your opinion on things, it's better to just keep it off of the main thread and send a personal message to them. Otherwise you're just taking up space where some constructive criticism could be, and the threads would be shorter. In addition to this, there wouldn't be long unnecessary arguments taking up space either. I could understand your response to it Rey if he asked you to post your opinion, but he didn't. I could also understand the blunt response without any ideas on how to improve his guide if he was not trying to be constructive and helpful. There's a time and place to just be blunt, and there's a time to help those that are trying to help others. If you don't want to help them, then you do not need to respond to it.
On topic: I think this is a good "overhead" view of the game. Rinn at the same time you should include all types of training, like sword and throwing. Unlike most games, NTFB actually does a very good job of making these types of weaponry useful and not just vanity items. I think a lot of people would be interested to see that as it may be something new to them. If possible, include the fact that the skill of either cannot exceed 2x your current level. Also, should re-order the Chuunin and Jounin descriptions a bit. I think it'd be helpful to have the chuunin cap mentioned in the Jounin rank part, and also the specific mission necessary (Kill Zabuza Mission) because otherwise unless they ask, they won't know. Since Jounin is acquired solely if you complete that mission, I think it's vital for them to know when they read Jounin that they cannot level beyond 2500 if they do not complete that mission. Your current structure implies it to all that already know it but I can see a bit of confusion with some newbies.
As for Ava's guide, Oak is right. I wouldn't say it's extremely outdated, but it is somewhat outdated. Some jutsu and clans are missing, as well as the level requirements being wrong for a few things as they were changed recently. I believe Ava was going to update it, but lost interest not long before leaving the game for the wipe. That being said, it's not as useful as it used to be. I've already had people ask me levels for things and I tell them, and then they say "Well Ava's guide said this" in which I would have to tell them the guide is wrong. Also for the most part, I don't think he covers the general things but rather the available clans and jutsu (at the time) specifically.

in retrospect barry he did ask for opinions and even if he didn't, the point of forums and treads is for criticism in which betters the community, not everything is going to be positive.
Rey might be a douche but he still has a voice and shouldn't be forced to walk on egg shells with his words, not to mention oak isn't one to call someone out on there actions when he is just as bad if not worse.
not to mention if he didn't like the idea, he doesn't like the idea. wasn't oak's place to intervene at all. also that crap about there's a time and place to be blunt, that sounds like some outdated ideology that was passed down an you took and ran with just because someone told you it "Not only am I better looking, Im just plain better"
