That still doesn't deteriorate the fact that it's not a bad idea. It would add an element to the game.

If it can't be made for everyone to have a chance at the sword once it's dropped then just keep it the way it is.
Makes no sense for just 7sm members to have the ability to kill someone and gain swords when in the anime it didn't go that way.
This is a strictly canon game amiright?

If by that logic of strictly canon then whom exactly did sugitsu kill to get his sword? No one, he took it off a grave, where as we know kisame joined, or was in ssm upon the killing of the previous wielder of the ssm. Killer bee has the samehada now and killed no one, he was given the sword as part of kisame's plan.
So going strictly canon I assume once I die, I should also get a grave stone so my sword can be placed there and you can walk pass and just casually pick it up.
Go canon go!

Go canon go! Exactly. He took it off a grave, meaning that anyone can attain a blade, not just 7sm members. The fact that he got his blade by not killing someone and we saw Kisame got his by killing the previous owner of the blade makes no odd or difference, at the end of the day they both got a blade and Suigetsu wasn't a member of the 7sm. Bringing up Killer Bee not having to kill anyone and instead just being given the blade despite not being a 7sm doesn't really help your argument regardless of whether or not Kisame gave him the blade with malicious intent. It's just another example of someone who isn't a 7sm walking around with a 7sm blade, which is what I'm saying. Kakashi and team 7 made the grave out of respect, they didn't have to do that. They could've just taken Zabuza's blade as a souvenir and left. If you want to add a burial verb to this game, that's something to suggest to Matt. However, if someone does end up burying you and chooses to drop the sword at your grave site, then yeah, anyone should be able to just casually walk by and take it, they don't owe you anything.

Urkel, if you want to go by that, then whats stopping a person from getting a blade on an alt then logging off to seal it on his account forever? One must give up canon for balance. balance in this case isn't refering to what is wanted by everyone, but what is needed to keep chaos at bay.

This game isn't that much balanced though. If that happens then they lost their sword matt. That's all there is to it. Mist has been given enough shit to be able to protect themselves. If the ssm swords get to a point where they give the user abilities, then i don't see any problem with someone being able to go and kill them for it. Just need to add a KO system or something. Same concept with taking demons.
